All About Jenna
Jenna is a holistic and integrative therapist who is passionate about making therapy a meaningful, joyful experience. Known for her down-to-earth authenticity and nontraditional, active, creative, hands-on approach to therapy, Jenna offers clients both emotional support and practical tools and skills to achieve significant, observable change.
Starting her professional journey as an elementary school and then high school educator, Jenna has always been drawn to supporting individuals on their paths towards growth and transformation. After earning her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University, Jenna worked in both school and private practice settings before traveling extensively in SE Asia, where she deepened her expertise in Buddhist Psychology, meditation, yoga, and mindfulness techniques. In 2022, Jenna founded Peace of Mind Therapy NYC with the hopes of bridging the gap between Eastern and Western healing modalities and bringing more comfort and joy to the therapy process.
Her Philosophy
Jenna exudes an infectious energy that is warm and authentic, blending humor, transparency, and compassion. Creative and nontraditional in her approach, Jenna doesn't believe in a "one size fits all" mentality and uses diverse, integrative modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapies, Ego work, and Buddhist Psychology. This comprehensive approach and her diverse education and personal experiences uniquely equip her to address the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
With a genuine passion for building deep connections with her clients, Jenna approaches each session with an open heart, cultivating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore and share without fear or shame. Drawing from her own experiences of both hurt and healing, Jenna serves as a collaborative partner in therapy—actively offering feedback, insights, and concrete tools and skills.
Rooted in trust, compassion, and a profound understanding of the human experience, Jenna's approach is supportive, empowering, motivating, and deeply transformative, making the therapeutic journey one of healing, growth, and joy.
