All About Jenna
Jenna is a holistic and integrative therapist who is passionate about making therapy a meaningful, joyful experience. Most clients choose to work with her because of her down-to-earth authenticity and her nontraditional, active, creative, hands-on approach to therapy, which provides her clients with the emotional support and concrete tools and skills that they need to realize significant and observable change.
Starting her professional journey as an elementary school and then high school educator, Jenna has always been drawn to supporting individuals on their paths towards growth and transformation. Since graduating with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University, Jenna has worked in both school and private practice settings and has traveled throughout SE Asia to extensively study and train in Buddhist Psychology, meditation, yoga, and mindfulness techniques. In 2022, Jenna founded Peace of Mind Therapy NYC with the hopes of bridging the gap between Eastern and Western healing modalities and creating more comfort and joy in the therapy process.
Her Philosophy
Jenna exudes an infectious energy that combines authenticity, warmth, humor, and transparency. Creative and nontraditional in her approach, Jenna doesn't believe in a "one size fits all" mentality and uses a variety of integrative and holistic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapies, Ego work, and Buddhist Psychology. Her diverse education, professional qualifications, and personal experiences uniquely equip her to address the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
With a genuine passion for building deep connections with her clients, Jenna approaches each session with an open heart, cultivating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore and share without fear or shame. Jenna knows what it's like to hurt and to heal, and she will be right there alongside you during the whole process. Taking a more active role in sessions, Jenna believes it's important to be a collaborative partner in the therapeutic process by offering feedback, insight, and teaching concrete skills and tools.
Rooted in trust, compassion, and a profound understanding of the human experience, Jenna's approach is supportive, empowering, motivating, transformative, and joyful.
