All About Jennifer
Jennifer is a natural holistic healer who is deeply committed to providing personalized care that goes beyond traditional therapy and creates a safe space for her clients to explore, navigate, and transform their pain. As an integrative and neurodivergent-affirming therapist, she brings a person-centered, warm, compassionate, and collaborative energy to her sessions and utilizes a strength-based perspective to empower her clients towards positive change.
Jennifer began her work in the mental health field at Brooklyn Criminal Court where she advocated for therapeutic alternatives to incarceration. She then led a Dual Focus Group, examining the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use, at Bridge Back to Life, a New York based substance abuse recovery center. Before joining Peace of Mind Therapy NYC, Jennifer worked in community mental health settings to ensure that quality mental health services are accessible to all.
Her Philosophy
As a holistic healer, Jennifer considers her client’s physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing in her practice. Her approach transcends conventional therapy, offering a holistic understanding of life's many complexities, and her therapeutic philosophy centers on empowerment. Recognizing the uniqueness of each individual, no two sessions are alike, as Jennifer tailors her methods to each individual's needs.
Jennifer utilizes a combination of various techniques and approaches, including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Spiritual Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness Practices. If of interest to her clients, she is also able to use a combination of energy healing techniques, such as breath-work, meditation, Reiki, and spiritual guidance, to help her clients restore balance to their body, mind, and spirit.
Jennifer prides herself on her ability to meaningfully connect with her clients, allowing them to find humor and playfulness in the process while feeling seen and heard in order to tap into their inner wisdom for healing and growth.
